Now is the time to start planning a new career or build a company.  Colleges and trade schools have a record number of students.  Bad economic times closes a lot of doors, but it opens others.  Are you going to sit around and pray you don’t lose your job?  Or, are you going to take matters into your own hands?

With all the doom and gloom in the news, take a moment to look for opportunities.  What are your interests and strengths?  How can you utilize these to make money?

Set your destination and identify several short term goals to get there.  Don’t worry about an incomplete plan, you’ll tweak it as you go.  As someone once said, “You will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did.”

There is no better time to look inside yourself, determine what you really want to do with the rest of your life, and just do it! The financial markets are very uncertain at best. Remember the old saying, “When life hands you lemons…” I’m sure you know the rest. Keeping a positive attitude is the key to winning the game of life. How do you keep a positive attitude? Do what you love, love what you do. Find it! Pura Vida!
